Crime levels are very high in this area and we hope to start our own security patrol. 50 people from all over Monwabisi park have received basic training as security guards. Training for more security guards and more community safety officers is needed.

Fire is a constant threat during summer and devastated vast areas of shack buildings in the informal settlements around Cape Town. Fire-fighting skills can be shared with many other communities and settlements.
