The Cape is set between two seas, between East and West and for nearly 350 years the European cultures of the Atlantic ocean, the Eastern cultures of the Indian Ocean, and the cultures of the African interior have met and mingled here. This mix has influenced food, architecture, lifestyle, customs, and gardens. The best way to investigate Cape culture is to walk, look, talk, listen, eat and drink the Cape.
Cape Town is quite unlike any other city. It is a fishing village and metropolitan city, all rolled into one adventure play-ground. It is a place where people come to do business in-between hiking up the mountain and playing on the beach. It is a city rich in history, culture and heritage and is bursting at its seams with creativity, and entrepreneurial energy.
Popular attractions include: Robben Island, Table Mountain, the V & A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Castle, Great Constantia & the surrounding winelands, Boulders Beach penguin colony, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Clifton Beaches and the vibrant Cape Flats townships.
