Food Gardens & Greening
Planting the first Indlovu food garden
Using every bit of space to grow food
After 3 years it has flourished
Great veggies planted on an old garbage dump

Food security is paramount when fighting poverty and as part of our strategy to improve the health and general well-being of the community; we have planted organic gardens around the various buildings, and sent many people on courses to learn about planting their own home food gardens. Planting trees that produce a food crop is an important part of our greening programme
Twice as year we run a competition for the best food garden and the winner receives a large cash prize – great incentive!
Volunteer workers in the food gardens and people wishing to teach organic gardening to the community are very welcome!
