The Ndlovu Centre is the only crèche in the whole of Monwabisi Park. Here youngsters and babies aged from 6 months to 7 years are cared for during the day. Amongst these children are many orphans whose fees are sponsored by kind individuals. They are fed 2 meals a day, and receive the best loving care from the wonderful women who work there.

From beginnings of bare tin walls and sand floor, we have progressed to insulated and painted walls, carpets, mattresses and blankets for winter, and in January our newly qualified teacher will be giving a good pre-school education to the 25 children who attend. Sadly, due to the lack of employment, the parents of many children who could attend the crèche cannot afford the small fee of R70 per month. This situation will change when mothers who are currently unemployed are working in the Ilima Bafazi project, and can earn enough to keep their children in the crèche.
