First Aid Course First Aid Training



15 Adults from Monwabisi Park can now help to save a life! They have all completed the basic first aid training course arranged by the Red Cross Society of South Africa, and will shortly be going on to Level 1. It is our hope that these people can all achieve a level of competence that will serve the community that is in such desperate need. Over weekends many people are stabbed, and the nearby road causes many accidents. Ambulances take several hours to reach the scene of an accident in this area, and they are often very badly equipped - sometimes without bandages or even aspirin!

The First Aiders will be on duty at the clinic to help and learn, while earning a small income.

The next classes will be literacy and micro-entrepreneurial skills. We are also hoping for 2 computers and an internet so that youngsters can become computer literate, and connect with others of their age around the world.
